A British Nintendo magazine NGC has posted an article that has details about a remake of the first Resident Evil in development for the Nintendo DS. According to the article the game will feature same gameplay as Resident Evil 4, which basically means that we will get a real-time 3D environment rather than the static backgrounds of the CG remake. A fully 3D version of the original survival horror taking advantage of the dual-screens and touch-screen should get most DS owners more than a bit excited.
Capcom is refusing to comment on the story, telling Eurogamer.net: "We're not sure where NGC got their information from." This could mean one of two things; either NGC is making up news to sell more Magazines, or they have a deal with Capcom for exlusive stories. We’ll report back on this story as soon as we know more.
